cooked at home : kimchi & mentaiko pasta with mushrooms and sprouts.
we have a smaller counter/cabinet space since we moved,
and are surrounded by more food options, but also makes me
want to cook in more, too...
i can't wait for the csa shares this summer!

went back to saint's alp for lunch, as i've never eaten food there,
and sometimes i need to have some good ol' taiwanese/hongkongese cafe food.

delicious noodles with dumplings, and marinated minced pork over rice.
of course, with boba (bubble) tea.


and i made this humble bibimbap for dinner.
first cooked meal at our new flat!

a beautiful day that ended with delicious snacks at saint's alp.
regular boba milk tea, black sesame boba milk tea, dumpling sampler,
and my favorite taiwanese snack - toast with condensed milk. <3<3

pork sandwich & veal meatballs sandwich at num pang,
the new cambodia sandwich shop.
not bad, but very small portions.
it was still nice after a long day of hardware-searching for the new apartment.

great korean street/pub style food at song 72.
dukboki (street style!), dak dong jip (chicken butt - really),
and sea food soup with some kind of fish intestine (so good).

classic & lemongrass pork bahn mi at nha toi.

these are easily the best bahn mi's i've had in nyc so far,
but unfortunately the pictures don't do them any justice.

yummy chorizo omelet & amazing beef tacos at papacito's.

dine in brooklyn dinner at olea for last meal of celebration before the move.

lamb meatballs & cod croquettes, pasta & mackerel,
and almond tart & chocolate cake.

we're moving to a different neighborhood in brooklyn in a day,
so feasting our last nights at a few nearby favorites...

tonight was at taro sushi, where we tried their wagyu beef tataki,
fresh crab salad, and the tonkatsu dinner.

i bet it'll be harder to eat here when we move farther north!

great pop-up vietnamese food at bep (mondays @ simple cafe).
roast pork spring rolls, spicy lemon grass chicken on vermicelli,
pho, and some beer & soda chanh - a happy happy meal for us.

late night ramen run in the rain @ menkuitei.
horumon-yaki (grilled pork intestine), mabo tofu rice,
with calpico soda - though i forgot to picture the ramen!

spring is almost here!
amazing olive oil cake & stumptown coffee at the new café peddlar.

sweet potato pound cake and coffee.

sometimes one just needs a decent burger and a shake.

great mexican food for lunch, so filling it's immobilizing...
mole chicken plate and my chile relleno burrito.

great polish food with jet lagged aya.
platter of pierogis, stuffed cabbage & kielbasa, and beef goulash.
when they said "red" or "yellow" sodas, they really meant it. <3<3

lunch is too good a deal at dokebi to pass up,
even though we recently ate there.

on a roller coaster day, which ended in a bum-out situation. :(
