yummy dinner at the korean hand-made tofu house, cho dang gol.

my kimchi beeji (soybean pulp soup with pork and kimchi) in the middle,
and matthew's delicious sea food tofu jigae (soup stew).

two breakfasts today - one at the crack of 7am,
one later with a friend. i guess that's more of a "brunch".

also, walked around pratt institute - it's so beautiful.

last meal from LA.
we were in LA for my solo show at thinkspace gallery.

i have to say they have amazing asian food in LA!
yummy tonkatsu and a little overstarchy dukboki.

amaaaazing spicy sauce chicken at a KFC(korean fried chicken) join in koreatown in LA.
ordered a side of mochi that's been slightly seared (crunchy outside, chewy inside).
korean fried chicken, spicy or just fried, always come with a side of pickled radish.

bryan and his friend's joint birthday party in a beautiful house on the hill in silver lake.
we helped audrey and bryan make gyoza,
which we brough to the party of homemade sushi.
such a beautiful view!

pho cafe in echo park/silver lake has been there for several years,
was one of our favorites when we used to live there.
they still didn't disappoint, though the pho isn't the same as little saigon's.

the omelette looking thing was amazing.

decent but slightly pricey breakfast at square one cafe in LA.
grits with hanger steak and fluffy pancake with peaches.

it was not bad, but it would have been better
if they didn't sell almost exactly same food (similar tasting) over at mike's diner around the corner from us in brooklyn for 1/3 of the price.

32nd street has nothing on LA koreatown.
amazing tofu with kimchi and pork, and chunggookjang (fermented soybean paste) soup.

food from LA.
spoon house, a japanese pasta place.
amazing bread, unbelievable spaghetti bolognaise with meatballs,
and my classic choice, spicy cod roe with uni and shiso.

humongous sandwiches at the brooklyn flea.

despite all the debates, i still love having the flea market in the neighborhood.
