coffee, seltzer water, syrup (agave) on ice - it's amazingly good & refreshing on a steamy summer day.

lunch at ashbox, it'd been a while, and i missed its homey freshness.
huge tofu salad, turkey sandwich, earl grey chocolate chip cookie. ♥

not in picture is also asian burrito - tofu, beef, kimchi, hijiki salad, & brown rice.

a beautiful day out after being holed up in the house working away on my shop (launching tomorrow!).

made & shared a strawberry rhubarb coffee cake (recipe from vegan yum yum),
which became our lunch, essentially.

then picked up our CSA veggies later, which we brought home to make another salad right away.
romaine lettuce, spinach, arugula, roasted tempeh, tomatoes, sunflower seeds, some shaved parmesan cheese.
one of the best salads ever!

then our CSA strawberries for desserts. ♥

our first CSA share of the year!
we made an enormous salad that i'm still full from after 4 hours.
2 different lettuces, arugula, caramelized walnut & onions, tofu, mushrooms, tomatoes,
carrots, cukes, all kinds!!

it was amazing. i can't wait to stuff my belly with all these greens again.
yay for the CSA!

dinner : spinach fusilli pasta in pesto sauce with baby broccoli, tomatoes, garlic, carrots,
topped with fresh parmigiano reggiano.

matthew's amazing stir fry - baby broccoli, shiitake mushrooms, beans (black eyed, kidneys, black), garlic & sunflower seeds.
ahhh! so good - there needs to be beans in stir fries at all times now!

red hook was so beautiful yesterday.

i've been very bad about documenting my food lately.
just remembered my camera today so i took some photos,
despite a bad lighting situation (in a dark spot facing some light).

special banh mi at nha toi - beef brisket with kimchee,
and mine, a shiitake mushroom banh mi.
their pho broth (a side) is great too, even on a hot day like today.
