bike ride on a super windy day (especially feels harsher right after a beautiful springy day),
we ended up at ash box for our old favorites - salmon onigiri, tofu salad, and salami sandwich
on ciabatta (with yellow pepper & sun dried tomatoes).
so good - i always wonder how it's not super packed over there with such perfect balance of
subtle flavors.



then for dinner later, m made this most amazing pasta - spaghetti with dried shiitake, smoked
herring, dried & fresh chili peppers & loads of garlic (as per my request). so simple looking, but
so complex in flavors, with layers of spicy, umami, tart, and garlicky/savory flavors.
