when we were in chinatown yesterday, we picked up some roasted duck at new york marts grocery store, along with a huge bag of yuchoy - and tonight we unraveled it all and ate it all up over black/brown rice. m cooked up the greens (steamed) perfectly then made this delicious garlic soy sauce in lieu of oyster sauce since we didn't have any - it was still so so good. the naturally smoky or anise-y (almost like 5 spice flavor) flavor of the yuchoy really went well with the duck that m seared on the pan to delicious crispiness. mmm~~~
