after hearing much hype from blogs and friends AND reading the NYT coffee round-up,
we headed to the newly opened (& long waited) blue bottle coffee in williamsburg to try it out.
and i have to say... it was good, but all of us agreed that it could've been better...
my soy latte was good, but it wasn't "outstanding" as NYT called out.
(they didn't even give that rating to La Colombe!!)

the slow-drip coffee was kind of acidic and bitter (burnt bitter, not good),
and a friend who's tried their SF store wasn't super happy with the latte.
i'll definitely check back in a few months in the warmer days to try their mega-serious looking cold brews (top photo), that is if i can stomach the uber-coolness of the place & the crowd inside...
till then, i'm sticking to my good ol' usual neighborhood haunts for my cup o' joe.
